The charge of the 12th century Spanish knights, The Order of St. James of the Sword, vowed to protect pilgrims and extirpate infidels.

An antiqued pewter cross pendant in a traditional style, raised in relief with fleur-de-lys ends to the arms of the cross and a sword-pointed shaft, and a dark, round hematite cabochon at its center.
